Exactly, skyguy. I have a spare in the basement and the current one has been in use for at least six months and has hardly worn.
Bill and Ann, yes, that's it. As Glenn said, it take a socket either 1 1/16 or 1 1/8. I know exactly where the socket is in the truck's toolbox so can go check if you need to know. A tip, also -- when putting it back in push the bolthead with anode rod straignt in and hold constant pressure on it until it picks up the threads. Otherwise it will get cockeyed in there and will be a real pita to get threaded correctly. It's an awkward angle, so pushing straight in on it is the key.
