Pear Velvet Salad
PEAR VELVET SALAD
16 oz. can pears
3 oz. pkg lime jello
8 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. cool whip
Strain pears and bring juice to boil. Dissolve jello in pear juice. Combine pears (I puree pears first then add cheese and jello), cream cheese and 4 Tbsp jello mixture in blender (can also be done with a mixer) and blend until smooth. Add remaining jello mixture and blend again. Fold in cool whip (I use a mixer on low speed). Chill several hours before serving or make day before needed. Keeps well.
This can be made with regular, low fat or fat free ingredients.
