When all, the hoses are way in my 8 foot tube, especially if I have some unused sections, I made a 'Puller outer' with some steel strap, angle iron and a 3/4" electrical box nut.
On the 6" tube for the ladder, I think I will screw some web straps to the ladder to pull it out. It's heavy and with just your fingertips, might be hard to remove. Sue has some webbing strap material, I'll make a loop and screw it to the ladder for a pull.
