That's interesting and hopefully correct...

A fella over on DieselStop said there is no need for an EGT guage on the 6.7 He claims the engine monitors the EGT and will defuel if temp gets too high. I know that my oldest son is an over the road truck driver and he claims the Volvos his fleet uses do the same thing, so there is no EGT guage. Those trucks are way more expensive than ours and he claims the computers in them monitor all sorts of thing to protect the engine.
