Can you be a little more specific? Pensacola...Panama City..Tampa?
We are just finishing up a week at a little Rv park in Santa Rosa Beach called Sowal Palms. Not much to write home about but it has filled the need as the near by state parks were full (we were only looking for a week). It's small, no real amenities other than a little bath house but a good spot to go exploring from. Has several large pull through's that appear to be newly remodeled.

Also I use an app called RV Parky which has been very useful and it's free.

We would prefer to be between Clearwater and Naples and within 20 miles from a beach. We've wintered at Sun Coast in Port Richey a couple of times but it has changed hands and they've let it run down. We'd like a fairly large campground with full hookup for our 35 ft Montana.

There is a great distance between the Pan Handle and Key West. For the warmest Winter temps you need to be below Tarpon Springs, the Pan Handle tends to get a fair amount of chilly temps.

The biggest problem you'll run into is all the CGs that were damaged this past year by Storms in the Fort Myers area. I hear some have reopened while others may never reopen.
If you really want to be close to the water, Periwinkle Park on Sanibel Island is a short Bike ride to the beach, but they are pricey. We stay there for approx a month before moving inland for the winter.

We snowbirded for 15 years at the KOA in St Petersburg Fl, before buying a Florida home last fall. St Petersburg/Maderia Beach koa just 5 minutes from the beaches. However I am told there is over a hundred people on a waiting list for a seasonal site and they are already totally booked for next winter and the cost per month runs $1350 plus tax, water, and electricity. While waiting for the house to be completed, (we closed and moved in mid-October) we stayed at the Ocala Sun RV resort. No beach of course, but a nice park and the cost was $850 a month with the only additional cost being electricity. When we pulled out in October, seasonal/monthly sites were still available. Many parks are doing away with seasonal rates and going with strictly daily rates. Site availability is no longer what it used to be, between storms and parks that have sold out to developers.

RV Parky is a great app. However, I found using Google and Google Maps to find little and unknown parks also works. We stayed in Palmetto (S of Tampa) last year at Jet Mobile Home Park. They have about 20 RV sites. $800/mo. It's on the Manatee River and about 10 miles from the beach. Most of the sites are semi-permanent retirees and come back every winter. Great group to winter with.
