Hankook Advanta 14 Ply tires
Considering purchasing the new Hankook Vantra TH-31 14 ply trailer tire that was released in 2021. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this tire.

Parttimer, are those E rated tires? If so, they are under capacity based on RVIA guidelines. The majority of Montana owners are running G614’s or Sailun’s. Good luck with your decision. (We had some Hankook’s years ago and they were terrible). Have had G614’s and Sailun’s without issue.

Running Goodyear 614 14 ply now but tires are 8 years old. New cost per tire $450-$600. Thanks for the reply.

Never heard of that brand of tire.
You might check into Hercules 14 Ply tires. I have Hercules on my High Country for 4 years now. I have replaced 2 of them. Not because they were bad tires. The first replacement was because I skidded the side of the tire and caused a gash in the side. Tire place said it was probably OK and would never cause any problem. I did not like the word "probably." I got a new tire, same one.
Then just a month ago, I got a another new Hercules tire when I had a bent axle replaced. One tire was wearing horribly uneven because of the axle. The tire had more life left in it, but again ... I wanted it right. So swapped out the second one.
I got them at Belle Tire in Anderson, Indiana. I chose them for the replacements because they had a parking lot that was adequate to pull the trailer into (and out of), whereas, almost every where else in the area had really tight parking areas and absolutely no where to park a 41 foot trailer.
$197.61 a tire, included taxes, mounting and balancing.

You have a great recommendation to get Sailun, unless something changed, they are on all new Montana's. they are 110 psi and heavy.
Irrespective of which brand you choose, 'Simple Tire' have great prices. Will deliver (used to be free) to your home or installer. Saw an advert recently, discount when ordering four.

no 3rd a/c heat pump
Sailuns are a proven trailer tire with an excellent reputation in trucking applications and on recreational vehicles. I never understood why people want to use an off brand that has the reputation of coming apart destroying your camper and ruining your vacation and they try and push them on people on the forum board. Don`t care about their experiences with a particular cheap or new tire that they saved 50 bucks on , they will always be listening for the "what was that " noise or blow out. Traveling with a beast behind you is stressful enough with the current idiots on the road, don`t need to add to it worrying about tires. Buy Sailuns in the 85 series through Walmart mounting free, your wife will thank you.

Saliuns are on the list for this year bshgto even though our Nexans are only 14 months old. Tired of listening in anticipation for that "what was that" moment.

Skip the 80 series go right to the 85 series. you`ll never look in the rear view mirror again and wonder did I do the right thing?

Plus sizing tires is an equipment modification that requires documentation, because the certification label, tire and load placard and vehicle owner's manual will no longer be valid. There are procedures to follow to ensure the documentation has been made and the vehicle conforms to industry safety standards.

Yellowstone is 50,000 years over due to the next earth changing eruption. I don`t worry about that either.

Replaced my factory tires( that started coming apart @7,000) with Sunlin. H rated tires.
J Fischer from the forum had recommend them and I am very happy with them. Just finish a 5,000 mile trip with no problems. They do run 110 psi so I would recommend that you have a air pump that will go that high.

I love my sailuns. We,ve made 3 trips from near Toronto, Canada to Loreto on the Baja in Mexico with no issues. We replaced g614s which did not last, given lots of suspension issues we had back then. I probably would have bought 614s again except for the "wallet blowout" we would have had compared to a perfectly good tire in the Sailuns.
