Best jump starter for TV and rig.
Having had a recent Prius experience I've decided to carry a jump starter again. Since I will need it to also start my Ram 3500 it will need some power. I'd also carry it to substitute for my rig batteries in an emergency. I've been looking at the NOCO Boost Pro GB150, but since this is not an area of my expertise I'm asking for others opinions. Thanks!

Dick, my alternator died recently on my RAM diesel. The tow driver jump started it with the NOCO GBX155. I was so impressed that I wanted something like that in my possession for the "next time".
I bought this one. It's untested but adequately rated to start my truck a couple times.

Here is an interesting You Tube video. There are a couple installments. Might be worth some time. I have a Harbor Freight that I was given. It will start my diesel Ford if it's not cold out but barely. Does fine on the Ford Escape. The little diesel tractor - nope

I have read wonderful reviews about the GB150. It is rated very highly and will be plenty strong enough for your diesel truck. It's currently at $299 on Amazon which is quite pricey, but it has 4.7 out of 5 with 6,789 ratings. I have been considering that model myself for the same purpose.

I have one from Harbor Freight $69 on sale. I haven’t tried it on a diesel but it works great on a gasoline engine.

Wow... I've had a drivers license for 51 years and can count on one hand the number of times I've had to have a vehicle jumped. Even in my college days when I ran around with a beat-up, falling apart, no-brakes Volkswagen bug. What are you guys doing to your batteries? Or do you just simply forget to turn your head lights off and run the battery down?

Now that is an expression I haven't heard for a while. I grew up on a farm, so have some experience! I can tell you live in a rural area.

Yep I’m a country boy. I’ve lived on the same little farm for 75 years.

Best jump starter
That old expression is similar to the one about some of our current politicians!!!
Useless as tits on a boar hog !!
That’s a South Arkansas saying😂😂
Buy a good set of jumper cables or if your budget can handle it get a good jump starter!!

Now, just to confuse the issue I'm attracted to the Hulkman Alpha 100 since it has a better warranty and is a little cheaper. It also has a heater function to solve the low temp issue with the lithium batteries. The problem here is that the majority of the reviews are coming from the Amazon Vine folks who got a free one to try out.

Dick,
I have one of the Audew units shown in the video - have never had the need to use it. A set of jumper cables is likely a better purchase.

I had a medium priced one that I carried for years and never used. Disposed of it after it died and would no longer charge. Carry a good set of Heavy Duty jumper cables in Truck and Car.
