Big Bend Tx
We are thinking about visiting Big Bend National Park this spring (2019) and are looking for recommendations on where to stay. We have a 2018 3120RL.

Big Bend area
There is a small no-frills rv park about a mile or two east of Terlingua, an almost ghost town you really should visit. This is west of Big Bend National Park and east of Big Bend State Park. there is a larger rv park closer to the west entrance of the Nat. Park. There is an Rv park inside of the Nat. Park as well. We stayed at the small park closer to Terlingua. Would stay there again! We spent one day around Telingua and one day touring the Nat. park. Then hooked up and pulled north through the park the next day. It was November and got pretty chilly at night, but comfortable during the day. I'm told it can get pretty hot during the summer down there . You'll enjoy the area!

Big Bend is on my bucket list so I have some questions.
Has anyone stayed in the park campgrounds?
What are they like? When is the best time of the year to visit Big Bend?

We were there several years ago in early February. Did get cool at night. Javalinas came into campground every evening. Posted DO NOT FEED ANIMALS but people did. At that time there was no radio or tv reception satellite only Beautiful country.

It has been a long ting time since we were at RGV in Big Bend. The Javalinas can be a real problem for tenters. I counted 13 Javalina being chased out of a tent. Most of the camping we did in the campgrounds were when we were in a popup or our sportsmobile. So I am not too good of a resource. It is definitely worth a trip.
