Going south in Jan/no to winterize?
Hey folks we're going south for the winter in Jan. Got a Four Seasons 3720rl with tank heaters. I don't want to winterize just for the time left to then. I'm thinking just put on the tank heaters and the electric water heater and maybe the furnace on low (say 50 degrees) until we leave. Does the furnace use a lot of LP if set on low for 4-6 weeks?
Any suggestions other than that? Thanks in advance.

First congratulations on your new rig. We too like the floor plan you have chosen. I don't think you want to run the tank heaters with the tanks empty. I don't know where you are located but in the pacific nw it rarely gets that cold so I have seen others simply use an incandescent lamp in the basement. I set the heating thermostat to the lowest possible setting the first year we purchased. It definitely worked but it used more propane than I would have thought. We are now days away from going FT so no longer an issue.

Guess the risk is tied to how low the temperatures are going to go in your area. Furnace uses a lot of LP when running, if in cold temperatures, would not bet on 4-6 weeks.

Thanks all. Guess I'll just blow the lines out with air and dump a little anti freeze in the drains.

Yep thanks. We're prepped for washer/dryer but don't have installed. I need to remember those lines.

IF you do not use a washer. Installing shutoff valves where they Tee off(after you drain them) will make winterizing easier.
