5th Wheel rental truck?
Has anyone rented a truck to tow a 5th wheel camper without hiring a driver? I’m searching truck rentals for one that has a 5th wheel hitch but I’m going around in circles!:

I have looked for that myself, in the past, because my truck is old and I'm not certain it's up for the job of towing a 5th wheel anymore. But I don't think any rental companies allow you to tow a pull-behind RV, let alone a 5th wheel. If you find a company that rents out trucks with 5th wheel hitches, please post here about it. I'd love to have that option.

I would call the Enterprise truck rental center near your location. Most of the Ford and Ram dually trucks will have the fifth wheel, goose neck prep package. Make sure when you reserve the truck that they understand you need the prep package.

Wow--thanks so much to you, too. I had no idea this was an option.

You will need to check with Enterprise. The Enterprise web site says max conventional towing weight of 10,000 lbs even though the 350/3500 trucks are rated for considerably more than that. It doesn't state the same limit for gooseneck towing buy they may derate that also.

Enterprise Truck Rental Towing FAQ
Am I able to tow with an Enterprise Truck Rental?
Towing is available on 3/4 ton and 1-ton pickup trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications. An additional towing charge may apply.
Does Enterprise Truck Rental offer hitches?
While it varies by model, our trucks come standard with the receiver only. Our 3/4 ton and 1-ton pickup trucks can hitch a gooseneck style trailer.
To book or for more information, contact your local rental branch for more details.

Thank you for this. I would be sure to check first, before making solid plans, but this information looks very promising.

Yes, that's a good point. I would definitely check first, before making plans.

You might want to also make sure Enterprise is referring to an in bed gooseneck as opposed to a bumper pull gooseneck. You never say what kind or how big your 5th wheel rig is?
