Hitch Recommendations
Forgive me but I am new to the forum.
I have a 5th wheel - 2018 Montana HC 345RL and I have a truck - 2018 Sierra 2500Hd and now I am looking for an automatic slider hitch (I guess). What are some of the hitches being used.

Assuming you have a short bed hence the slider. I think you will find many recommending the pull-rite.

A standard 8' bed shouldn't need a slider with the newer Montana's. We have a short bed and so we use a Pullrite.

There are many good hitches. We use the trailersaver BD3.It is pricy as all the good ones are. I would suggest you do your homework on the suggestions you receive here and make your decision on what best meets your needs.

If you have a 8' bed rather than a short bed my recommendation is the Anderson Ultimate Hitch. It really fits my needs but it may not be for everyone. You will get a lot of opinions but I highly suggest you do your own research as an informed consumer.

I second the Hensley BD3 Trailer Saver hitch. The Hensley company also has a 12 month interest free payment plan.

FYI: Because Short Bed Trucks are so popular the short bed is now called the standard bed by many MFRs and owners. The old standby 8' bed is referred to as the Long Bed.
Kept confusing me for a while as I'm from the Old School and if you're going to have a Truck it has to have an 8' bed.

Why would you make a statement like that to a new member trying to sort things out? An 8' bed is NOT required to tow a fiver at all. I have towed with short beds for 10 years and the last 6 years without a slider. Don't even come close to hitting cab. Being new I'm sure the OP would be more comfortable with a slider though.

I would suggest looking into a hitch or pin box with an airbag. Completely eliminated chucking and bucking making for a much more enjoyable drive.

I understand what you meant for one, just went out and bought a 8` bed dually over the top difference when parking not width but length. Coming from a short bed for last 12 years.
As for the hitch with a short bed the Pullrite slider worked for me best the BD thing is just to expensive and heavy like a ton of extra weight more moving parts than the Space Shuttle. Go with a air pin box you won`t look back. IMHO

Before your hitch I'd be more concerned with the truck. Your trailer looks to be 14200 loaded out assuming you do that. Your pin will run around 2800. the hitch will about about 200. fuel, passengers and other gear in the bed will put you close to over your truck payload rating. All those things and the trailer will most certainly put you over the your CGWVR. Sure the truck will tow it, but stopping and handling it in all conditions could be unsafe. Adding airbags which is common for 3/4 ton truck owners that tow... will cut 100 lbs from your usable payload. Asking about hitches is fine but a great hitch on a bad truck choice does not make for good karma. Okay I'll don my flame retardant suit...

I agree with Biggar. We pulled a 2007 Montana at around 14,000 lbs for 9 years and felt our 2007 2500HD GMC Sierra did a good job, and it did. But it cost me 2 turbos (money). It was just too much weight for the truck. We were overweight GCVWR by around 2,000 lbs and too heavy on the truck bed by around 400 lbs.
It worked but I wasn't feeling good about being overweight.
We just bought a new 3500HD Sierra and it pulls the trailer real nice and I have a good buffer for weight. I feel a lot better with this setup, not being overweight.
