The easiest way to know if you have a Remote System is to look in the front garage on the back wall, more towards the right, and up near the top, for this device. It is the "brain" for the remote system and what the handheld receiver communicates with.

If this "brain " in not there then there is no remote capability. But I am betting it is given your model year.

There are some things you need to know if you have the "brain" even if you don't have the receiver. The "brain" controls both the remote and some of the switches (jacks, slides, awnings, etc.). The "brain" has a fail safe system to prevent you from activating the switches and the remote at one time. This can break and the symptom will be the switch or switches don't work. Never fear, there are Threads here on how to fix that. https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ad.php?t=46515

Second: the "scare" lights have this unique feature where if they are turned on by the remote, they can be only turned off by the remote. Disconnecting power or turning on/off the manual switched won't help. Only the remote will work.

Finding a replacement remote may be difficult. The original (for the 2012 and 2013 era) were made by Gama Electronics. I ordered a replacement from my dealer when mine was lost. This was a while ago. Lippert may still have them, E-Trailer used to have them, and there were some on eBay. This is what mine looks like. NOTE: there are different face plates for different models. This is the one for my 3700. It is unique and probably not the same as what your model uses. If I can find it, I will post a picture of the other face plate I got (it took three tries to get the right one).

This is another helpful Thread on the remotes.

And the back has data that may aid your search.
