GMC Repair and RV tires near Elkhart
We are currently in Elkhart Indiana having repairs done and would like to have my Truck brakes inspected. Does anybody know of any reliable repair shops here in town that I can have a look at my 2018 GMC Dually
Also want to look for tires for rig so if you know of a RV tire shop here also
Thank you in advance.

Are you having problems with your brakes? If not I wouldn't worry about it. I drive a 2004 Chevy with original brakes and over 100k miles on it.

The last tires I purchased for my Montana came from Belle Tire. There is a Belle Tire in Elkhart. I run on Hercules tires: Click here.
Lochmandy GM will be your best choice for the GMC inspection

My 2011 Chevy 3500 Dually had 115K on the clock when I traded it and was still on the OEM Factory Brake Pads and probably 90% of that travel was hauling heavy 17 to 20K.

Unfortunately, most of my dually's life was / is spent towing. It towed a 35 foot Outback travel trailer and then the 41 foot Montana High Country fifth wheel.
I started have some unusual noise happening last year at around 70,000 miles. I took it to the GM dealership in Mount Aire, North Carolina and they literally brushed me off.
When I got home I went to my GM dealership (Noblesville, Indiana) and I had them pull the wheels and give it a true once-over inspection. Turns out, I had two calipers bad (which was causing the weird noises) and my front brakes had only 1% left and the rears had only 3% left. That and couple other things I had done, they got $4000 out of me.... that SHOULD have gone to that dealership at Mt. Arie. It goes without saying, I was really ticked off at those folks in Mt. Arie for brushing me off.
The truck now has 80,000 on it.
So, for the OP? If you feel an inspection is worth while, then do it. But if you have a preferred mechanic that you believe in, then wait and have them do it.
Just my suggestion for your own peace of mind.

Needed tires a couple years ago while there and Affinity suggested Monteith’s where I got Carlisle’s for my rig. I’ve been very happy w the tires and they are as good as any! They also do repairs so it could b a win win for u!
