Liquid vs Paste
Which wax do most rver’s use? I know carnauba wax will last longer however my new rig is~ 40ft long not to mention the cap and rear. The wash and wax is easier however I don’t think it last as long
How often should I wax the unit once or twice a year

I use McGuire Marine. How often depends on location. Since we spend six months in Florida, we shoot for three times a year.

Meguire says their best longest lasting wax is their beat synthetic polymer wax.

Use whichever works best for your needs. Some pastes aren't worth the effort. Liquids - ditto. I generally use a Meguire's product, currently their Marine liquid. It seems to last faily well. I also use their Ultimate wash and wax for washings - keeps the shine going for a while longer.

Agree with Meguire's Marine. Wash the rig about twice a year and wax every 18 mon except the front cap which gets it a couple times a year.

This question will be like asking which tire you buy for your RV or what truck you think is best.
For me, I get the one that looks nice in the the package....always from walmart.

I just tried the McGuire ceramic which looked good on the surfaces without any oxidation. But found any place I had oxidation, when drying on the first application, it pulled up the oxidation and streaked really bad. So started over removing the oxidation with TSP and some rubbing compound. Then I think I’ll hand wax with carnuba. Oh the joys of retirement LOL

I am like you removing the places that have oxidation.
Then I will too apply the polish
Remember you are retired and there is always tomorrow
