Unbelievable!
Driving east on I-80 from Cheyenne towards Kearney I was tooling along at 65 - 70 (got LT tires and it all depended on the wind). All of a sudden a Dodge 1500 flies past me doing 75 at minimum, towing about a new (at least it looked new) 28' SOB 5er. Had to slow down until he/she got well in front of me, but I'm still at a loss. Obviously a gasser, so they must have both a really lot of money as well as a death wish.

Unfortunately we see that more often than we would like. Glad no one has ever had a blowout running next to me

Had a TT pass us a couple years ago, must have been running at least 80 mph. I even said to Becky, they will lose a tire doing that. About 45 minutes later, came across the same rig, sitting on the shoulder with a blown tire. They probably, to this day, still don't realize why they a had a blown tire.

Usually when someone passes me like that they're also towing a boat.

Saw the 75+ mph towing in Michigan this summer--a 5th wheel and a BOAT. I was just glad they got past me and I exited the highway a bit later.

On two different occasions I have observed a transporter hauling a factory new fiver at over 80 mph. One that passed us last year had somehow left a window open and about 3 feet of some curtain was blowing out of the window!
When empty transporters can probably roll the dice and abuse the junk tires that come on most new fivers.

I see these cowboys all the time, overweight and over the speedlimit. Too many crazies on the road these days. I cruise at 60-65 and enjoy the ride. Don't get the mindset. Everybody in a hurry. I must be getting old.

When I was an RV transporter, I felt like I was the only speed watcher. No wonder so many new trailers have a tire problem (including me when I bought my Monty years ago). And you can't tell a transporter anything. Many of them are on a clock and schedule. My transporter used to tell me, to keep things safe all the time, but then they would say "Do what you need to do to get there by tomorrow afternoon" and it's 700 miles away and it's late and have already used too much of your daily clock allowance.
