Mustang Island State Park
Has anyone ever stayed at Mustang Island State Park, near Corpus Christi, TX? We would appreciate your feedback.

If you like the Gulf, fishing, walks on the beach, driving on the beach, you will love this park. We have been in the area for the past 17 years and will be there again for 6 weeks Feb.to April. We have never stayed in this park but have been in it and drive by it every day on the way to the golf course. It is out in the open, but each site has a picnic table and a wooden patio thing (whatever it is called). It is a short walk to the beach thru the dunes. Most of the time it is not full in the winter. Spring break fills it up. We stay at the Pioneer RV resort just down the road as we prefer a full hook-up as the state park has no sewer hook-ups. For a short stay or if you don't mind driving to the dump, you will love this area and park.

Sea level, sand, beach, sand, flat, sand, humid. If a seaside milieu is something you enjoy, it is all there.

We drove by the park yesterday. It wasn't full, but lots of RVs. There is also a county park in Port Aransas. Same sort of hook ups. Only a few RVs in it yesterday.
