Camping world Discount
Has anyone had problems getting their discounts from Camping World? We are Lifetime Members of Good Sams and my understanding is we are to receive discounts at CW. We purchased over 700 dollars of merchandise at the Council Bluff Iowa Store and the clerk told us their Computors were not set up for the Discounts and we would have to contact Good Sams so I thought but GS told us to recontact the store. At last I called the retail service department at CW and they finally told me to send copys of my receipts to Customer Care at Bowling Green KY. Has anyone else had these problems? Kb

No such problem at all, all we carry is our GS card and everything is done under your GS membership number. If you're a member over on RV.Net, there's a section to contact Marcus. I would post your problems there and if you don't get a response in a reasonable time contact Marcus directly. We've met him several times and he wants to hear about any such problems because if he doesn't know about them he can't fix them.

That sounds like a local store problem to me. I was at the C/W in Akron, Ohio and they recognized I was a lifetime member of the Good Sam's club. I purchased additional time on the Emergency Road service while I was there and they gave me the discounts that were applicable.

If you've made any purchases at all, you will be in their computer and don't even need your card. CW needs to give big time discounts, because they charge big time prices.

Just one piece of advice, if you are from Canada, make sure that you let the store know. We have had problems with them finding us, because they need to specify the country.

Like Hooker said, I don't even need my card because they have my info stored in the computer at the cash register. As others have said, it sounds like a particular problem relating to this store.

Just bought some merchandise at CW in Mesa two days ago and no problem with the discount. As previously stated must be a local store problem.

We have shopped at CW online and in person at a number of CW stores between Florida and New England and have not had any problems receiving discounts.

We are also life members of Good Sam's. Our info is in the Camping World data base which should be accessible at every store. Once they bring our name up on the computer it automatically gives us the discounts. We don't even have to show them a membership card. We just give our telephone number and it brings up our account and shows that we are members. It's worked in the Akron, Ohio store and the store in southern New Jersey.
