I was considering one but none will fit the 1116 pin box wings on my 3121, or at least per etrailer. You may want to check to see if available to fit your trailer before spending much time considering it. I did order a Trailair.

On the 1116 pin box an adapter plate kit must be used,as per reese tech support.

I already had a B&W Companion hitch that was less than a year old, so went with the Trailair. If starting from scratch, I would have considered it more seriously. The other issue is it sounds like you do not have a lot of vertical adjustment, but I may be wrong. They do make gooseneck balls of different heights, so that can give you extra adjustment. If you tow other gooseneck trailers, this is definitely the way to go. I don't, so that was not an advantage to me. I just wanted some type of cushioning between my truck and trailer and looked at all options.

I currently have a curt a20 puck hitch, biggest reason for this change,is that i wanted a means to clear my truck bed without needing help to safely remove it, I had a trail air on my first rv which was an open range,if i had that hitch on my current montana,I would have gone with the andersen ultimate hitch, that trail air is a great hitch, I should have close to seven inches of vertical clearance from bed rails to rv.

Not having to lift a hitch out of the truck bed is an advantage. My hitch breaks down into tow pieces that I can lift out by myself, but rarely have to do that. Again, if starting over, I would have seriously considered the goosebox. Hope it works out great for you!

A consideration for me would be whether your truck is short bed or long bed.
