My refrigerator will not run on propane
My refrigerator quit working on propane. Could that mean a faulty regulator? I also noticed a oily residue on the floor below the burner on the back of the fridge. Could that mean I have a propane leak somewhere in the system?
The regulator showed green on both tanks, but I know one tank is empty.
I took of both tanks and connected the one tank with propane in it to my generator to make sure there was no problem with the tank. It works fine there.
Suggestions what to do would be appreciated.

I had the same issue in a truck camper years ago. It was the circuit board that needed replaced. Sticks in my mind it cost about $130 bucks.

What refrigerator do you have? YouTube has a lot of good info on troubleshooting.

I have a Norcold, it's running fine on AC power.
My stove working fine on propane that would rule out regulator being bad .
Mountaintop did you replace the board? Or did you have someone do it?

I had loaned my truck camper to a friend that took it to Alaska for a month. He had it done up there somewhere

My bad. I missed the oily residue part in your original post. I don’t think a circuit board is gonna fix that. That’s beyond me.

The compressor oil and refrigerant are mixed together in the system. Common for some oil to escape with a refrigerant leak. Sounds like the cooling system ruptured and the ammonia leaked out. It is initially yellow but may have turned brown over time.

He is referring to a norcold, no compresser. If still operating properly on electric, no cooling unit rupture.

This post got me thinking. I just purchased my 3150rl about a month ago. The previous owner lived in it full time for the past 6 years so of corse he was running the fridge on electric. I decided I best turn it on on propane to make sure it works. Been on now for 3 hours. Freezer is at 28 degrees but the fridge is at 67. Must I give it more time or is there an issue with mine? It is a norcold n811rt.
The temp switch is on 5.

I agree. If you started with a hot unit five to 8 hours are not uncommon to reach max cool. At least on a Dometic. When you reach max you should see about 35 degrees difference freezer to refrigerator.

I still can't figure out why my refrigerator is not working on propane. It starts up okay, the yellow flame and the blue flame stays on for about a minute
With a clicking sound. It then goes out and the code no FL comes on.
I try to do it by myself before calling a RV mobile repair service.

Yea mine is working just fine. Down to 34* this morning. I normally start it on electric. This is the first time I started it on gas only.

We had this happen on our first trip west with our 3610rl. After driving 600 miles all day wanting a hot shower I was pissed. It was the circuit board! We were parked at a county park with no services except water. Drove to Gillette, Wyoming, where a dealer, not Keystone, but Forest River, gladly replace it on the spot! 2 years later it went out again! A PIA to get at, so I modified a door to access it! Now it's a breeze if it happens again!
