Shell Rotello
If you see Shell Rotello 15-45 you better buy it. My town in Alabama has none and can’t get any. Found a few quarts of Dello 400 and that’s it.

You might wont to look up DEF fluid shortage. China makes 90% and they have banned its export. Or so I have and just read again.

The will I hear it is. It isn’t in short supply now but soon will be critical if China doesn’t start shipping. Check and see what you can find out.
This is some of what I have found
The world is facing a major shortage of the compound, a key ingredient found in the diesel exhaust fluid AdBlue and a large component in fertiliser. The main reason for the shortage is that China, which previously supplied 80% of Australia's urea supplies, has banned export of the product.Dec 7, 2021

I stand don't understand why America depends so much on China? We have to get a hand on what is happening. If not there will be hundreds of those who own Diesel truck who will delete the emissions system.
Happy trails.

I am sure that the administration is well aware and has it under control. After all, only RVers use DEF, right? Oh wait, every over the road truck uses DEF. Hmmm. My personal opinion is that most politicians don’t know what they’re talking about. Either side of the aisle. A few years ago someone got the idea that if they banned magazines, guns would eventually be useless. They didn’t have a clue that they were just the carrier for bullets and could be refilled. Hope they do know about this. And understand what it means.

I read that the US gets most of it's urea from Canada, so we should be OK. You also could see this as a way to remove ALL the diesel trucks from the road to replace them with battery powered trucks.

Home Depot’s or lowes had plenty of def in my area, also AutoZone had Shell Rotella T6 in our Town. Rotella deliveries are sporadic right now, I use to pay 19 bucks a gallon now it’s 29 bucks a gallon. Tractor Supply Carry’s Shell Rottella oils also.

My son had problems with his DEF system on his 2018 Ram. While he waited months for the parts to arrive, the dealer was able to “turn off” the DEF system, so a delete is possible. The DEF does not reduce pollution, but rather carbon dioxide; you know, that stuff we all exhale, and plants inhale.

I haven't looked recently but 4 weeks ago all Shell oil products including Rotello was hard to find in Kansas City, both big box and auto parts stores. Guy at NAPA said it had been an issue for a while with Shell and had no idea when supplies would resume. Have not checked back so no idea on the current status.

Walmart online has T4 for $14 and T6 for $23. Out of stock on T5 but who cares. You might not be able to find it at the mom and pop or local stores but the big retailers have it.

I found 3 gallons of T6 5W40 at Lowes. Most of other stores were out.

Try ordering T6 15/40 , currently unavailable ,as well as 5/40 at Walmart . I just tried ,I put 3 gals in the cart ,and went to check out , non available online .
I went on this adventure awhile back also my son did too, was never able to locate or buy Rotella T6 15/40 online . I did order 3 gallons of Mobil Delvac Extreme 15/40 full synthetic from Walmart , it was if I remember $22.42 per gal. I can't imagine it not being just as good .

I am curious about that , it may be possible ,but like where I live it wouldn't pass emissions , so that or deleting is not possible here .

They won't delete here ,you can't ,it won't pass emissions ,plus its illegal anywhere . Sure you can keep putting the parts back on every year I suppose . There are some forums that don't even want to talk about deleting, or simply don't reply to someone asking .

Actually I did. Just ordered 6 from Walmart about an hour ago. 3 are coming from my local store and the other from a Walmart distribution center.

We must not make the shortages worse, if there is a shortage. After my warranty runs out if I still have the Duramax, I will have the delete done. It is such a waste to be forced to use a product that is really not needed. I know several who have deleted the emissions, Trucks run much better fuel mileage. I do try to keep my DEF system full, but we are 875 miles from our home base. Good Luck.
I have not see a shortage of Rotella nor DEF fluid.
Happy trails.

It is illegal but lots of people are deleting and tuning for lots more power. I just met a guy with a new 3500 Ram deleting and tuned with a six speed manual transmission There is a shop in western Va that is all they do.
