We stayed at Mark Twain Campground last Oct. We enjoyed it and would stay again.
We walked across the street and ate at the restaurent overlooking the Mississippi River.

we stayed at Injun Joe,s last fall. Nice campground up in the hills, easy drive to Hannibal. Would stay there again.
Didn't have to pull thru Hannibal as it is off hiway 36 about 4 miles
If it is rainy Mark Twain Campground may be a little "damp" from what we could see of it
You can spend an easy two days seeing Hannibal. the river boat ride is great but last week they weren't doing the dinner cruise due to the high water. Don't forget to eat at Lula Belles--great food. I will let your wandering mind figure out what it is or Maybe Rondo will tell you

Bobbie, I went on Woodall's web site and Good Sam then I tried Streets and Trips, then KOA nada.......... I only saw the two that were mentioned on another post, I read the reviews and some were bad, I dont believe most of them some people want to be treated like Kings and Queens if you know what I mean. mark twain or indian Joe. flip a coin I guess.

Bobbie, No chitlins, higher class food
We suggest you go on 36 west past St. Joe and then go north on 50 if you are wanting to get to I80. there is flooding around Omaha and Council Bluffs, I29 is closed north of Council Bluffs and there is a chance I 29 will need to be closed from Hamburg, IA, north. check with the road info people. sent you an email

Bobby-- As Jan and Paul have said- I-29 is closed north of Council Bluffs, IA. If it were me, I'd come on out I-80 westbound and come on through Omaha and then head up North from the middle of Nebraska to the Black Hills or wherever(north and west). Both the Mississippi and the Missouri Rivers are flooding and many of the interstates and other highways along the rivers are flooded and/or closed. IF you come through Omaha, you'd be able to stop by here and we can have that Nebraska Grown Steak Dinner and you'd get to see us again too! PM or email me if you are coming through here!
