Inverted AC loop for Inverter

Where is the Inverted 110v loop prep for up to 7 outlets for a Montana 3901RK.

Any help appreciated.

First welcome to the MOC.
What year is your trailer? What solar package? Most new trailers come with an inverter especially if you have a residential fridge. The "up to 7 outlets" have a yellow sticker on them that says inverted outlet. Usually the TV's, one near the kitchen, the recliners, fridge and basement.

It is a 2023 3901RK, Solarflex 200 with 2 LI batteries, the inverted plugs are marked with a yellow sticker.

There is no Inverter visible in either the front battery bay nor the main storage area on the other side of the wall. The fridge is RV style 100v/propane, not a residential style.

Typically inverters would be close to the batteries and would have a 4.0 power lead from the batts with a fuse and shuttoff.

I have not crawled through the basement on a search mission because its a spaghetti mess.

So unless the power panel at the stairs is a converter/inverter combination im at a loss. One note there is an inverter breaker 20a on the panel.

Confused.

You're correct. The inverter is located in the battery bay very close to the inverter battery shut off switch. Do your inverted plugs work when not connected to shore power? If they do then they stuck your inverter somewhere else? Do you have an inverter on off remote switch?

My Magnum inverter is hanging from the top of the pass through storage area on the opposite side of the battery bay. You have to bend down to see it as it's between the support frame structure, essentially mounted to the underside of the floor of the bedroom. The main power from the battery to the inverter is a rotary switch mounted in the battery bay next to the giggy box (DC power control for the all 12v in the RV).

The remote inverter control switch is mounted inside the RV in a cabinet adjacent to all the light and slide switches (no in-command). The remote shows the battery voltage and has two push buttons to select different inverter modes & display the status of the inverter. See page 25 of the attached manual for a pic of the remote.

As the previous poster stated, disconnect your shore power and see if the marked outlets still provide AC power.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks this confirms my thoughts, the converter is just that, no inverter in pass through bay or back wall next to batts. giggy box was helpful to look inside the cover.

I did pull all AC power and turned the batts on. As feared no power on any of the marked outlets. Also no remote for a Inverter in the panel locker at the stairs.

So I am back to where i started. Im prepared to install an inverter however the missing link is where is the loop for the marked plugs?

I suppose i could DC (disconnect) the AC feed to the converter. Put in a junction box and extend that heavy line to to the new inverter location AC input. then take the AC output and go back to the Converter AC input. Which i think will solve this problem. Of course i would need to DC the battery charge cable from the Converter to the Batts.

Thoughts?

If you purchased your Montana from a dealer, I personally would be back on their door to get this manufacturing error to be fixed by Keystone. You can also call Keystone direct to start a claim.
All that said, look at your circuit breaker labels to see if one of the breakers is labeled 'Inverter'. If yes, turn that breaker off and check the labeled outlets for power. If no power, you have isolated the correct circuit. From the back of the breaker box / converter you can find the romex connected to that circuit. From there you can install a junction box to loop in an inverter. The DC side of the inverter will need the correct gauge wire and a switch on the positive side. As you stated in a previous post, the inverter needs to be relatively near the battery.
But, I would make Keystone pay for all this. You paid too much for any other solution!

After reviewing Keystones website, it appears that the 200 inverter is an option. They have replaced the Solar Flex 200 with Solar Flex 220 Protect. No inverter provided. But there is an inverter loop. It has to be in the battery bay near the solar controller. Also look in the pass through on the ceiling. I have a second loop there. The wall separating the battery bay and pass through is a false wall with all the solar/inverter wiring in it.

Our 2023 3901RK also has the inverter hanging on the ceiling of the front pass through storage compartment. It is on the other side of the wall from the batteries.

That loop is for the AC unit. A second inverter is required and a lot more solar panels.

If you do install an inverter, you will also need the transfer switch that accompanies it.
