Lippert Slide Controller

Good evening all,

We're in the final stages of packing for the journey north for the next four months and noticed the "Lippert Dual Motor Synchronous Velocity Slide Controller" is flashing. This is located in the second to last storage compartment on my 3791RD. Counted nine blinks/flashes which indicates "Hall PWR Short To Ground (GND) according to the controller label. (See attached)

Working with a short fuse and would appreciate the advice of you folks with more electrical knowledge than I so I can shorten the trouble shooting window. Is there an obvious place to look first?

Thanks in advance for your replies and advice!

Mine did the same thing last year. It cleared after a power cycle and has never come back. I believe that fault points to a bad motor; I bought a spare.

Thanks Scott.

If you still have any residual info on the motor/purchase and are willing to forward I would be much obliged.

All the best!

This what I bought. Not sure if our rigs use the same motor, but probably. I can't review it; still sitting in the box. This is not the OEM motor which costs several hundred dollars.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Did you power cycle it?

PS: there are others on the forum much more knowledgeable about the Schwintek than me.

That is the one I bought for my Son's Grand Design. Made in India but 1/3 the price of a Lippert one (likely made in the same place).

Or, you could take a course on Lippert Technical Institute.

If it is just the Hall sensor, you could try manually bypassing it. Press the button 6 times and hold on the 7th (I think) until the lights flash quickly. The motors will run the slide in and ignore the hall sensor. The bypass procedure is on the sticker on the controller itself.

Scott - I should have mentioned that the slide is still functioning properly even thought the light is flashing. I suspect that as such I don't need to do the power cycle...but if I did or do in the future, please clarify, how do I do that?

Carl - thanks for the Amazon controller link - it's good to have options.

Thanks Tony. Since the slide is working and in the in position, I plan on waiting on addressing until after we arrive at the farm this weekend for the summer.

Thanks again to all! Safe travels!!
