Slide toppers
Anyone have white instead of the brown slide toppers?
Trying to decide how white ones would look compared to the normal brown ones.
Thanks

probably brown because of how easily white would get dirty and stain.

Might be a lot of work to keep clean. Here’s one with white awnings for sale . . .

The underside of our awning looks the same way. Our slide toppers are black. I think brown would look odd and white would be very difficult to get and keep clean.

Never looked at any that close. Maybe they were black.
I was thinking white only because it should make slides cooler than black would??

When it's hot, it's hot!
Color won't make that much of a difference.
White will definitely be another cleaning job!

I went with black, white would show the dirt.

We have white, Live in Fl in the winter and use the white to reflect the sun. We replaced them with white after 10 years. I would think darker colors would absorb the heat which for us would defeat our purpose.

I have had white on a Montana and now have dark brown and the brown is a lot hotter than white. I had no problem with white getting dirty and I liked the white better than the brown. Just because of the heat.

Good morning -
I maintain white slide toppers (4) on my RV.
Rationale - Between the top of your slide and the underneath of your slide topper is a micro-climate that is influenced by the sun's rays. Darker colors will increase the heat in that area. We visit hot locations throughout the year, and I want to deflect as much of the sun's rays to maintain a cooler temp in the RV AND protect the top of the slide.
Sidenote - Darker colored decals will cause damage to the RV skin, whereas the light-colored decals do not. This is a lesson I learned when replacing decals and considering painting the RV. Due to the cracking f the RV skin under the darker decals, painting was not an option, and I went back to the decals. Hence, I go to the lighter colors on slide toppers and awnings!
Just another option!
