Slide or Pump Problem?

Hey everyone. I'm new on site I'm having slide problems. The motor I guess needs rebuilt. Does anyone know a b place that rebuilds them or where I can get a rebuild?

What type motor are you referring to?

Is it the hydraulic pump motor?

What problem are you having?

The hydraulic pump motors usually last a long time and when they go, the usually flat quit. A new hydraulic pump motor seems to be running around $1,200 - a lot of $$ so you want to be sure it is the problem.

What year and model of Montana do you have?
That information plus a description of the problem(s) you are having will help get you helpful answers.

There us at least one motor rebuild service that members have found. I will try to find that information and post it here.
ON EDIT: Here is the link to the company that rebuilds the motors. https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ad.php?t=82928

P.S. Welcome to the MOC! I moved your Post into a new Thread as it is a different problem from the discussion where it was originally located..

As Carl said, “What problem are you having?” There are a lot of possibilities as far as problems that can occur. And there are hydraulic slides as well as electric slides. Posting your year model and floorplan will help. As well as a more detailed description of your problem.

And welcome to the best RV forum there is.

Before you explore a motor rebuild, you really need to follow the diagnostic procedure to determine if the motor is actually bad. This is the link to the Lippert technical sheet that will aid you in figuring out what the problem is. https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=Awr....dyaeSiGyAqn7k-

Welcome aboard.

Download the Lippert NOW app from Google play store. Lots of good info, manuals, TSB, troubleshooting etc.
Lippert also has excellent help desk support.

I had a problem with our hydraulic motor after the auto system timed out while trying to level itself on a downward incline. The motor got contaminated with hydraulic fluid. It was a simple procedure to remove the motor, disassemble the brushes and clean with break cleaner. After drying, I reinstalled. No more problems. If your familiar with brushes on alternators and starter motors, you can perform this task easily. Takes about an hour.
