Replaced hydraulic pump. Now what

Hello all. Recently I had an issue not being able to close my slides while resting in a Lowe's parking lot. 2 techs came out, told me I needed a new pump, and managed to close my slides after opening the underbelly to open some hoses.
We managed to get to a campground outside of Memphis, and overnighted a pump from Lippert. Installed it myself on my 2013 3100rl. I was pleased when the landing gear dropped and I could open my slides. Now, though, if I open the slides once they drop into place, I can't close them. Furthermore, my landing gear won't raise the front very far and everything is slow. I have a full reservoir and have checked power and it reads 12.4 V under load. My next step I suppose is to check pressure, but not sure how comfortable I am with that. Everything was fine before I changed the pump, so other than bleeding air out, I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

Your original issues were related to the slides ( Hyd ones ) not moving.. If the pump ran but slides didnt move then the Hydac valve most likely was not opening..

There is ONE valve for all slides - it is mechanically closed and electrically opened via the coil that is slid over the body.

The fact the RV techs opened up hoses underneath to move the slides tells me they were -- clueless

What should have been done was open the Hydac valve manual override screw located right on the end of that valve and then run the pump to move the slides... then close valve after operation finished.

You need to TS that Hydac valve solenoid and see if it gets 12 vdc to it when you operate the slide switch...

If it does but valve does not open then solenoid coil most likley bad...

** quick test to verify is remove coil and slid screw driver into the coil hole and then have helper turn on slide switch - the screw driver should now be locked in place via the magnetic field the coil makes

By cracking open the lines and moving the slides air was induced into the system... It needs several cycles to bleed out...

Even though each system ( Frt LG, mid/rear levelers and hyd slides are all isolated at the extend manifold ) they all have a common connection at the return manifold

EDITED - ** Even if the hyd pump motor had failed or dual polarity solenoid failed you could have simply used a cordless drill, 1/4 inch allen drive bit and 5/32 allen wrench ( to open manual override screws on Hydac valves ) and operated everything that way

Always research things first,we had some so called rv techs work on our slide and they did not know any more than we did,we had to put it in the shop to be repaired. The problem with the slide jumping and skipping was because the wear pads were worn out.

I thought the same thing about the techs. I had no experience closing the slide using the override and felt desperate for someone more experienced to help. Sine then I have asked for a detailed accounting of what was done so I can summit the cost to insurance and they have ghosted me. Not much I can do now that I am now in California and it happened in Arkansas
