Hi Craig,

As others have said, biggest difference between Montana and Mountianeer Edition Montana are options availability. Trim, fireplace, prep for Washer/Dryer, Chrome wheels, etc. I also believe you can upgrade the suspension on the Montana, get more slides, etc. The Mountianeer seems more geared toward families with kids in tow if you compare the floor plans (bunk houses, closed bathrooms). It is a bit like a Chevy vs. Buick. Same basic rigs with the Buick offering more options and features.
