If you store your rig and you are not plugged into shore power, then you do not need to unplug the televisions because without shore power none of your 110v devices, including televisions are receiving power anyway.

If you store your rig and you ARE plugged into shore power, then yes, I would unplug them to preserve them. Leaving televisions (glass tubes too) does also waste a little bit of power leaving them plugged in because if your television is able to be turned on using a remote control then as long as they are plugged in, a small amount of power is required in order to read the remote control to turn on its main power.

Regarding concerns over lightning, the odds are low, but I am sure another member can explain this.
