LOL! This is absolutely the hardest part of figuring this out. Going to the websites, and figuring out what configuration weighs what. I spent a TON of time doing that when we bought our new vehicle. I finally got to the point that when I had an "answer", I kept that information in a spreadsheet, so I could at least compare one truck brand, configuration to another.

The doorpost is the ultimate answer, and that's important. However, that only helps you when you're buying a used one, or you find a new one on the lot the way you want. If you have to order it, that's when you won't be for sure what the doorpost says.
