Everything stays in the cabinets. The 'real' glasses are put in the original shipping cartons and towels cushion the dish cabinet and bungee cords keep the doors closed. Been doing it that way for over 40 years and don't recall that we have ever had a broken dish calamity. This includes a popup as well as a truck slide in camper and well in excess of 100K travel miles
