This mean I jack up teh slide a bit to get it in far enough to remain on the ski.

rather than 'falling off' the wear bar as the slide hits full extension out?

thought?
My dining slide (the one that ramps up as it starts in) skis do not always sit on the wear bar. I used the bevel method. So far (1.5 years), so good.

My kitchen slide (does not move up as it starts in) always sits on the skis as you describe. At first, I tried to do it the same as the dining slide; first time retracted they ripped off because the kitchen slide does not move up.
