What is wrong with your original cable? If it is just one of the ends, just get a new end. It's pointless to waste 50 feet of good cable when it's just a connector that is bad. We still have our original cable. Had a problem several years ago, lost the ground when plugged in at a park. After even having their maintenance guy open up the panel, finally discovered that the ground pin had broken off inside the molded plug. Got a new replacement plug, and it is still working fine, actually better because there is a handle on the new plug.
