Sounds like normal behavior to me! We love our new cosier bedroom after redecorating. It's nice to have a personal touch. If you'd like to see pictures, check out the thread on "a new way to hang pictures" under Improvements. We took our cornices down and replaced them with valances, too, in the bedroom.
