I pulled the door off. You than have to remove one vertical side since they sit on top of the base plate. You can than remove the base plate dry, scrape, and re caulk. I ran 2 beads underneath the base plate, and after putting it all back together ran a bead on the inside and outside of the base plate. Hasn't leaked a bit and all drains back to the shower surround. Word of caution. Doors are heavier than the look.
