In talking with a lot of people that haul these heavy rigs with the 7.3 most all of them have said that the trans will hold up until about 125,000 miles. From there it won't be long before you will need a new one. Dangit, hate it when they are right about these things. 122,000 miles and reverse goes out without any clue at all that there was a problem with it.
As I said earlier the Jasper Trans was recommended by a trans shop and was ordered from Jasper with the specs of a 7.3 hauling a 17,000 lbs fiver in the Rockies. We will see how it works out.
