I have read a bunch of stuff about most of these fuel pumps being made for diesel produced in Europe where their diesel is lubricated a little more, thus it would be a good idea to use an additive in a modern diesel engine in the U.S. Don't know if this is accurate info or not. I have always used Diesel Kleen when towing and never had fuel issues in either my 2012 F350 or my current TV. Pretty cheap insurance and I tend to believe I get about 1/2 a gallon better mpg.
