After a trip to Fl I had love bug issues. Nothing I tried would take them off. Tried lacquer thinner , and so on. Had on hand and finally used Totally Awesome Cleaner Concentrate
from the Dollar store. On the wax issue I would bet all the cleaners that remove bug guts will remove wax. Thanks for the heads up.
