VanMan, you can go a round about way through Oro Valley and north through Hayden, Winkleman, Globe, then 188 to I-17 etc. but I don't think it would be worth it. If you go through the Phx. metro area between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on I-10 you should be fine barring any unexpected accidents.
