Sorry to hear about your misfortune! I know very well how frustrating that kind of thing can be, but you know it could have happened in any state, and it's certainly not the Montys fault either
Sounds like possibly poor judgement by the sign truck driver...just my .02
You did the right thing by not swerving or causing an accident...good job! Any sign prior to that truck should have been prominent enough that nobody could miss it! Obviously it was not (assuming you were paying attention
).
Personally, I would make a case for that and, at the very least, refuse to pay for their "damaged" sign!
