We have a 2005 model that was built in June of 2004. There should be a decal on the front left side that shows the build date as well as some other info. At least that is where it is on ours and I believe it is still located there on the new ones. Congratulations on the new Montana. I'm sure you will love it. I understand it is a huge investment and worrisome until you get comfortable on how everything works. I'm also not a fan of extended warrenties. It's just insurance. You have a year warranty anyway so I would just save the $2000 in case you need it later. I don't think most people spend that much in repairs in the first several years anyway. Also keep in mind many of the components (refridgerator, microwave, etc.) have their own manufacturer's warranty that may be more than one year.
