I'm not retired so the destination is more important to me than the journey. Therefore I drive until I cannot safely drive anymore and at that time will usually find a truck stop or Walmart to overnight in when necessary. I have to open the bedroom slide in order to get into the bedroom. Therefore I will only park alongside a curb, island, or grassy area where my slide out will not impose on traffic or any other drivers. So far I've not had any issues with my methods.
