First, try a couple of things.
1) At the back of the bowl, there is a screw on a large clamp that when tightened applies more pressure to the seal area. Tighten screw and check accordingly.
2) Make sure the seal is cleaned completely, apply a thin coat of vaseline (I used q-tips) to the seal itself.
When I did both of these, our leaking problems have ceased. Also get in the habit of letting the ball slam shut. Let off the pedal all at once, not gradually. Hope this helps, if not the seal kit may be in order.
