you could spend a month just in Utah. they have a great website and will send you info about all the things to do there for free. Just got back from Moab trip and saw Canyonlands and Arches NP on the east side. Other NP's on the west side are great for we've been there before several times.
Idaho, Sawtooth area and north through to the Salmon River up to the North Fork area. Then over the mountain to Montana. Did that trip but came down last year from our trip across Canada.
