Thanks Scottz. I see that Kodiak was labrador too. The vet said that what Sully had was some sort of neurological thing that starts at the hips and works its way forward. He said that they used to see it mainly in German Shepherds but now are seeing it in labs. Since Sully was a labradoodle, he said that this came from his lab side. Anyway, like you said, issues with both walking, getting up, and breathing. He'd walk a few steps and be panting like he ran around the block.
