We use the exact same magnet to replace the outside door latch. Last year the crappy plastic door latch broke and DH took it all off, sealed the holes and drilled new ones to install the magnet. Works great!! In high winds we do use a small bungy to keep the door from slamming shut. I love opening the door and just pushhing it into the magnet. Stop by at the rally this week to see it!!
