I have one of these in the stickhouse.

The only drawback is that it's real strong and I often have to slow down to be able to apply enough pressure to release it. The only other problem is the loud click when the magnets catch. I've often wondered if I could apply a thin rubberized material as a cover to minimize the metal on metal sound but still allow enough magnetism to catch.

I do think the magnet is strong enough that it will hold a door in place in a moving rig. I like that idea.
