There isn't a doubt in my mind as to the G614 being a higher quality tire than the Hankook F-19. The cost difference IS very substantial, and only the individual writing the check can decide whether or not the cost is justifiable. If I were a full time traveller, putting several thousand miles per year on my tires, the extra cost might be justifiable, but I'm lucky if I get to go a few hundred miles per year. In my case, spending the extra bucks would be foolish.
My personal preference is neither of the above, as I have no need for a 14 ply tire. I use 10 ply commercial light truck tires.
