Looking for a campground where the campers are not inches apart. Probably arriving early December until April 1st. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel with five slide outs. Any campground suggestions?
We looked at a lot of them and settled on Bentsen Palm Village, next to a large bird sanctuary, on the Rio Grande River, in McAllen. As others have said, lots of great parks in the Rio Grande Valley ("RGV"), most have a large range of activities and facilities. It may be a different story if the Covid-19 restrictions persist, but no doubt you will be able to find some options to suit your needs. I would try to get some detailed pictures or site maps to check on closeness to your neighbors. We found the newer parks have more space and are better suited to modern rigs.
Happy hunting.
