Waynem, thanks for taking the time to explain.
A note for you folks; I took care of commercial refrigeration for bars and restaurants.
I would rather poke toothpicks in my eye's than drink a iced down glass when eating out. I would say that 90% of the ice machines I worked on, had black slime and gobs of crud in the ice made, and on the evaporators. The only machines that were safe, were the ones that had a monthly cleaning and a good P.M.
Even then, the cleaning of an ice machine uses a mild acid and cleaning compound that requires the mechanic to waste the entire bin full of ice. No one does that. OK, almost no one.
But your RV machine will be good.... If you clean it regularly. correctly. I won't get one, too much bacteria.
