I installed the TRC 50amp Hardwired model last Fall. It worked fine on our 3 month trip this winter. Gives you a peace of mind. I know lots of horror stories where people have fried many appliances and TV's due to bad power in the RV park. I dodged a problem in Florida in winter of 2011 by luck. That's when I decided I needed a surge protector.
